About 1986 the Seth Thomas Clock Company stopped building clocks and shut down their factory. Just before they shut down, the made only one run each of about 5 different clocks. This is one of those clocks so it is very rare because they only made a few of them, and because it was one of the last clocks that Seth Thomas ever built in their own factory. It is new old stock.
